Website information versus health information

This policy covers information collected through this website. It does not cover protected health information created or maintained as part of your care. That information is governed by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act and by our Notice of Privacy Practices, which is provided to you before your first visit and is available on request.

Appointment booking, intake forms and clinical records are handled inside our patient portal and electronic medical record, not on this website.

Information we collect on this website

We collect the information you choose to give us, such as your name, phone number and email address when you contact us. We also collect standard technical information that any website receives, including your IP address, browser type and the pages you view.

Text messaging and mobile information

We collect mobile phone numbers from patients who provide them when booking an appointment or who contact us by text. We use these numbers to send appointment confirmations, reminders, scheduling updates, arrival instructions and post visit follow up.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt in data and consent are not shared with any third party. Information may be shared with subcontractors who support our text messaging operations, such as our communication platform provider, solely to deliver those messages, and only under an agreement that prohibits any other use.

We do not purchase, rent or import phone number lists. We do not text anyone who has not booked with us or contacted us first.

To stop receiving text messages, reply STOP to any message. For help, reply HELP or call 704 931 8716. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Opting out of text messages does not affect your care.

Cookies and analytics

This website uses cookies necessary for the site to function and to remember your preferences. We use standard website analytics to understand how visitors find and use the site. We do not use advertising pixels or tracking tools that identify individual patients, and we never connect website analytics to patient records.

We keep website inquiries only as long as needed to respond to them. Medical records are retained according to North Carolina law and our record retention policy, which is separate from this website policy.

Your rights

You may ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, subject to information we are required to keep for legal, administrative or security reasons.
